Today, the #AccelerateSustainability event was held at the Business Club “Privrednik”, during which Sustainability Reports for Nelt Group and its members, Neoplanta and Baby Food Factory (BFF), were presented. The event brought together representatives of state institutions, the business world, non-governmental organizations, business associations as well as the media.
At the opening of the event, Tanja Miscevic, Minister for European Integration, addressed the attendees.
“Domestic and foreign investments are equally important for the growth and development of the country. One of the important segments of the domestic economy and the companies is sustainability, based on the model used by companies operating in the European Union. The Ministry is actively working on the development of the Reform Agenda within the Growth Plan, which enables us to faster join the European Union market, join the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA), as well as green corridors or the so-called accelerated customs clearance processes for road freight traffic,” said Tanja Miscevic.
In his welcoming address, Milos Jelic, CEO of Nelt Group, emphasized the importance of sustainable development goals and transparent reporting.
“With the presentation of Nelt Group’s fifth Sustainability Report, for 2022/23, we continue our tradition of reporting according to the GRI standard, which we started in 2014. We continuously strive for more efficient use of resources, introduction of renewable energy sources, development of our employees and the application of high ethical standards in our daily business operations. Our goal is to strengthen the foundation for future sustainable development, while at the same time creating new value for our employees, partners, society and the environment,” said Jelic.
On this occasion, the companies Neoplanta and Baby Food Factory (BFF) presented the first editions of their Sustainability Reports.
As part of the event, a panel discussion was organized, moderated by Nada Stamatovic, Corporate Sustainability Expert at Nelt Group. The panelists were Bojana Mucic, CHRO at Nelt Group, Aleksandra Jovic, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Nelt Group, Olivera Verac, Production and Development Manager at BFF, Aco Tomacevic, Manager of Neoplanta and Vuk Mijanovic, Supply Chain and Logistics Services Development Manager at Nelt.
