One year after the launch of our overarching business strategy “Accelerate 2025,” the first Accelerate Checkpoint event was held today in Belgrade.
Managers and directors from all companies within the Nelt Group gathered at a one-day conference where the status of strategic projects was presented, previous results were reviewed, and plans for the current year were outlined.
CEO of Nelt Group, Miloš Jelić, in his opening speech, reminded attendees of Nelt’s thirty-year development from a small family business to an international organizational system employing over 5,000 people in Europe and Africa.
He emphasized that in 2022, Nelt Group achieved the highest revenue growth in the last six years.
“By increasing revenue, we have shown that we have begun to live the Accelerate 2025 strategy,” Jelić stated.
Executive Director of Finance, Marko Cilić, presented key financial data for distribution, logistics, brands, and the holding, while Bojana Mucić presented key projects and plans for the HR sector.
Vice President of the Group for African Markets, Boris Mačak, presented the results from this business domain, as well as the focus areas for the current year.
“We will focus on building brand awareness for Oko, expanding into new markets, launching new low-tier brands, and entering new complementary categories,” Mačak stated.
Directors of our companies Neoplanta, Baby Food Factory, and Chips Way presented the results for 2022 and the focus areas for 2023.
Darko Lukić, Executive Vice President of Nelt Group, outlined the goals for 2023 and emphasized the importance of balancing short-term results with laying healthy foundations for long-term sustainable success.
Updates on the status of strategic projects were provided by Manager for Digital Products Aleksa Šaponjić, Manager for Data Management and Reporting Biljana Atanasković, Manager for Supply Chain Operations Improvement Nenad Rakočević, Manager for Distribution Operations Improvement Darko Mrkonja, and Executive Director of ICT Milan Bukorović.
During the event, teams and winners of the Top Accelerator awards were presented. These awards recognized projects that significantly contributed to accelerating the growth of our company over the past year.
Award-winning projects included: SAP and SFA implementation in the Albanian market, Masters competition in the North Macedonian market, launching Čipite in the Bosnian and Herzegovinian market, Nutrino Lab brand development in the Montenegrin market, starting collaboration with Colgate in the Zambian market, Kraš business development in the MT channel in the Serbian market, beginning operations at the new external warehouse in Šimanovci, Performance & Talent Management led by the HR sector, Let’s accelerate together project of the corporate communications sector, optimization of sales-delivery routes in the supply chain, and the eInvoice and DMS project carried out by the finance sector in the Serbian market.
The end of the event was marked by a surprise guest, renowned athlete Ivana Vuleta, who, along with Corporate Communications Manager Marko Milanković, discussed career challenges, motivation, and transformation in professional sports.
