At the end of April, Dragan Fiser, Country Lead Balkan from the company CHEP, presented Nelt with a Certificate of Sustainability for the year 2023.
On behalf of our organization Nada Stamatovic, Corporate Sustainability Expert, Dusan Stojanovic, Logistics Operations Manager and Bojan Stevanovic, Warehouse Operations Manager accepted the recognition.
The recognition followed the successful implementation of initiative, undertaken by Nelt and CHEP Serbia, which took us a few steps further towards our sustainability and environmental protection goals, implementing the “pooling” system, an efficient logistics model with minimal environment impact. This system of sharing and using pallets, for the transport of goods between different companies, enables better management of pallets, more efficient transport and a smaller ecological footprint, due to optimization of use of resources.
“In this way, we have saved 96,270 dm³ of wood, reduced waste by 9 tons, and CO2 emissions by 112 tons, which presents a significant result in our ecological footprint reduction.” Our results were recognized by the awarding of this prestigious certificate, confirming our commitment to environmental protection,” said Nada.
