At the prestigious “Young Energy Europe” event held in Berlin, Nelt’s team was awarded recognition for outstanding achievements in improving energy efficiency in the company’s operations. Certificates were presented by Stefan Wenzel, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and Dr. Achim Dercks, Deputy CEO of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
Representing Nelt in Berlin were Ivan Milićević, Manager of Innovation and Development of New Business in Logistics, and Nada Stamatović, Sustainability Expert in the Nelt Group. They, along with their colleague Mira Komlenić Matejić, Investment Office Manager, underwent the “Energy Scout” training at the end of 2022 as Nelt representatives. The team then presented Nelt’s comprehensive systemic approach, connecting renewable energy sources and route optimization as a holistic solution for decarbonizing operations. With this, Nelt won the first prize, competing against participating companies in the program in Serbia, for the CO2 emission reduction solution.
Nada Stamatović commented on this occasion: “We are proud that our company has been recognized for improving energy efficiency. This success is the result of our teamwork and dedication to sustainable business. We will continue to create innovative solutions that contribute to environmental protection.”
The “Young Energy Europe” project is funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and is implemented together with foreign chambers of commerce in partner countries – Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Hungary. The program includes a series of workshops focusing on energy and cost savings, increasing energy and resource efficiency in operational activities, as well as raising environmental awareness. The goal of the program is to contribute to environmental protection and promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences on these topics across Europe.
